Private Cooking Series

Looking for cooking classes for high schoolers or families/friends? Book a private class or cooking series!

Escuela de Rogow is booked out for any private series until August. Private series can start as soon as August 10, 2026. Please inquire!

If the public after-school kids’ cooking series doesn’t quite fit your child’s schedule or dietary needs—or if your family or a group of friends would enjoy cooking together—a custom cooking series may be the perfect fit. This event style is offered from August through November and again from March through May. A modified version is offered in June and July*.

With this option, you provide the students, choose your preferred day and time, and select the menu and skill focus. You’re welcome to choose from any of the Escuela de Rogow offerings listed below or opt to mirror the seasonal public class menu. Once you have at least 6 cooks committed, I’ll provide a registration link for you to share with your group. After everyone has registered, I’ll take over all communication and coordination.

Because culinary skills build from week to week, each series follows a foundational progression, then branches into the recipes and techniques that excite your group most. Even returning students discover something new every time. If there’s a skill or focus you don’t see listed, feel free to ask—I may be able to accommodate!

*During June and July, please refer to the summer calendar for availability. All private series during this time are scheduled after public sessions and must replicate the series or workshop offered that day—menus and format cannot be customized. Pricing and timing follows the summer model as well. See the summer menu page for more information. Summer availability fills quickly; the calendar is released in February and is typically fully booked by March.

Please Note: It is very common to suffer a minor cut or burn in the kitchen. This kitchen is no different! No one can learn to cook without a mark here and there. It is par for the course! Of course I don’t strive for injuries but minor ones happen everyday!

Series Details

  • Bookings require at least 6 cooks and can accommodate up to 10.

  • $375 per student for a 5 classes series - Additional classes may be added if desired (based on availability) at $75 per class, per student

  • Classes run 2 hours

  • All food is enjoyed during class or packaged to take home

  • Simple snacks and beverages are always available

  • Ideally, cooks will pair up in teams of two to prepare recipes, promoting teamwork, mutual support, and the sharing of the cooking experience.

  • Each team will follow clear instructions and hands-on demonstrations, ensuring everyone is involved and learning.

  • Short breaks will be given as needed, allowing kids to burn off some energy, play, and reset their cooking stations.

  • Substantial food will take time to prepare. Basic light snacks, water and lemonade are always available throughout the event for the cooks. We make enough food for everyone to eat and hopefully a little more to take home to share.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: I can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice, so your menu can be a perfect recipe for everyone. It’s best to choose dishes that can be easily modified for any major restrictions. To keep every guest safe at the table, each participant must submit a waiver. No accommodations can be made for restrictions we don’t know about, so all waivers must be submitted in advance. Menus can be changed up to a few days in advance.

Weather Considerations: Keep in mind that the kitchen is located outdoors. It is generally comfortable under the pavilion, however, sometimes weather conditions may require an event to be adjusted, postponed, or canceled. Wind presents the greatest challenge during rain and may make it impractical to be celebrating outdoors. In such cases, collaboratively, we will make the decision to proceed, adjust timing, postpone, or reschedule the class. Most weather-related decisions are typically made once reliable forecasts are available.

Please Note: It is very common to suffer a minor cut or burn in the kitchen. This kitchen is no different! No one can learn to cook without a mark here and there. It is par for the course! Of course I don’t strive for injuries but minor ones happen everyday!
