KID BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Escuela de Rogow offers a fun and flexible way to celebrate birthdays with cooking classes! The cooking experience takes place in my backyard outdoor kitchen. It's a super rustic, fun, and relaxed setting—the perfect vibe for creating memories and great food with friends!
Here is how a cooking birthday party works...
The Cooking Experience
Cook Count: My kitchen can accommodate 12 cooks max. Age range is most suited for kids 8 and up. If younger kids would like to cook, one adult per any 2 kids below age 8 must be included in the headcount.
Additional Guests: Friends and family are welcome to tag along and enjoy the show—there’s plenty of space for happy spectators! All I ask is that everyone keeps their voices at “nice café” level so our budding chefs can hear me without me flipping my lid. Also, a quick heads-up: there is a pool on-site. Any little ones who come along will need a grown-up keeping an eye on them at all times—no unsupervised mini-mermaids allowed!
Teamwork: The cooks make mostly everything themselves. Kids will work in teams of 2-3 to prepare recipes. This encourages collaboration and allows them to share the cooking experience.
Step-by-Step Guidance: Each team will follow clear instructions and hands-on demonstrations, ensuring everyone is involved and learning.
Breaks: Short breaks will be given as needed, allowing kids to burn off some energy, play, and reset their cooking stations. This keeps the event fun, interactive, and ensures kids stay engaged while learning valuable cooking skills.
Food/Drinks: Basic light snacks, lemonade, sparkling and still water are always available throughout the event for the cooks. Substantial food will take time to prepare, but you are more than welcome to bring in extra snacks/drinks or any other food to supplement your selected menu and to feed any additional guests that may be spectating. The kids make enough food for themselves and a little extra for the crowd but it all depends on the menu. All of the recipes the kids cook will be ready to devour towards the end of the event. Take away supplies are always available.
What Else is Included: I provide all the essentials, including basic paper products, serving items and loaner aprons. If you’d like to bring themed party ware, décor, favors, or more substantial anything, you’re more than welcome to do so—though it’s certainly not required. It really just depends on your vision for the event.
Waivers: Allergies and dietary restrictions must be submitted in advance
Event Fee, Duration and Additional Details
Event Fee: $550 for up to 12 cooks
Duration: 2.5 hours
The time includes cooking and a couple of breaks for party activities
There’s an additional 15-minute window allotted for guests to exit and for packing up personal belongings (2.75 hrs)
Overtime Fee: If the event runs longer than the 2.75 hours, there will be an additional $100 overtime fee added to the final invoice.
