Class Repertoire

These are just some of the favorite techniques taught at Escuela de Rogow. If you would like to learn a skill that is not listed, just ask. Classes are small and students have their hands on everything! Many dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Class Repertoire

  • Pizza!

    Who doesn't love pizza? Students will enjoy the process of blooming yeast, measuring by weight, kneading and shaping pizza dough. We will stoke up the wood fired oven and try not to burn the place down as everyone creates their own individualized pizza from the topping bar!

  • Phyllo Dough

    Students are buttered from fingertips to elbows while learning how to properly work with phyllo pastry. They will turn this tissue paper like dough into delicious and crispy baskets, triangles or rolls which we then stuff with sweet or savory fillings from around the world.

  • Dumplings

    Learn to make dumplings from around the world! In this class, students can make traditional steamed or pan fried Asian style dumplings, but will also spin the globe and try dumplings such as...pierogi, gnocchi, empanadas, sweet southern dumplings...just to name a few.

  • Create a Cupcake

    This is the perfect class for all skill levels. Each team creates a basic vanilla cake and buttercream. Where it goes from there is up to the their imaginations, taste buds and skill level. Great choice for birthday parties of mixed ages and large groups.

  • Choux Pastry

    What is this you ask? Choux is the crazy pastry that gives us delicious churros, cream puffs, profiteroles and eclairs. This is a favorite class among many of my young chefs!!! Kids especially love the savory ham and cheese puffs!

  • Tacos

    Transform your Tuesday night taco routine into something more exciting with some fresh tortillas and perfectly seasoned grilled meats and veggies...OR...have your kiddos learn how to take over the basic Taco Tuesday task for you!!! That's one night a week you don't have to worry about...and of course it will be kicked up just a notch!

  • Maki Sushi

    An excellent class for those who have always wanted to learn how to make their own simple sushi rolls. Learn the secrets behind the perfect rice, how to fill, shape, top and slice the perfect California and Veggie rolls. Spam musubi makes an appearance and is always a kid favorite. We can always upgrade and add on some more adult options as well.

  • Tarts and Pies

    Shortcrust, pie crust, cookie crust, hand pie, pot pie or galettes...skies the limit on the tarts and pies class (well, the 2 hour limit that is). If you like baking, this class is a winner.

  • Fresh Pasta

    Linguine, farfalle, pappardelle, ravioli….you want it? Escuela de Rogow will teach you how to cut it, stuff it, boil it and eat it!

  • Donuts

    Escuela de Rogow loves donuts and doughnuts! Fried nuggets of dough are just heavenly. Classic glazed, donut holes or fritters are fun but also baked cake donuts rock too.

  • Sweet and Savory Crepes

    A treat that's great for all times of day!!! Experiment with seasonal sweet and savory fillings while learning all of the tips and tricks to making quick and easy crepes.

  • Knife Skills

    Learn how to become comfortable and more efficient with a knife. Learn how to properly hold a knife, care for a knife and how to break down vegetables into all of the basic cuts. We will then work as one group to make something delicious from our bits and pieces. Students may bring their own knife or use one of mine.
